Harvesting from clockwise right: lemon balm, meadowsweet, feverfew and mugwort. Its gonna be a busy day tomorrow! A little friend on the mugwort leaf-it was chirping its heart out so I pooped it (and the leaf) in the garden. Lemon balm vinegar/glycetract- I think Ive got the recipe down this time. Hi lovely people, so no consultations or treatments for a while, but Im still making remedies for those who need them. Best to text as phone reception is patchy at home! In the meantime heres some things you can do: 1. Garlic/onion honey- finely chop a few raw garlic cloves and cover with honey over night. Have 1 teaspoon in warm water 2-3 times daily. You can also finely chop an onion and cover with honey. 2. Salt water gargles- 1 teaspoon salt dissolved in half a cup of ...warm water. Gargle a good mouthful for at least a minute and spit out. Repeat 2-3 times daily. 3. Steam inhalations- use hot-as-you-can-stand water or make a pot of herbal tea (chamomile would be lovely), add a sprig of rosemary, Manuka or a nice aromatic plant you fancy. Pour into a heatproof bowl and put your head over it with a towel covering you to seal in the steam. Take lovely deep breaths for 5-10. I put on a bit of music so I know when times up.
