A visit to this original 1970s open home was SO amazing - like being on the set of Mad Men - complete with sunken tv snug - I loved it! What a way to relax - a quick night away at @wallingford_kitchen is the perfect treat. This incredible home is steeped in history with beautiful views from every window. We had an amazing welcome from Jeanette and Dean and a delicious six course degustation dinner by super talented chef Chris. Big squishy leather sofas, a roaring fire, flowers everywhere, comfy chairs, amazing breakfast and a coffee for the car ride home. Perfect? Yip, perfect. There’re a few colours I just don’t really like; purple is on that list. Mint is also there. But when I saw this stunning scheme by the very talented @lyndakerry I was happy to be proven wrong. I think the combination of tones within the luxe textures, rich timbers and the modern art is such a success. And that’s good design. Time for an escape with the family to @rotoruanz and we visited the @treewalknz in the forest. It’s absolutely beautiful. Today a two hour visit allowed my client to undo all the knots that she had tied herself up in trying to work through a colour scheme for the exterior palette and the kitchen finishes in their gorgeous new home.
